Do you plan out your year ahead?

To be honest, I used to not really bother doing it. Especially in the earlier years of my business. I didn't have "goals" that I wrote down and really thought about. I just let it flow and took the opportunities that felt good.

But as the years have gone on, the family has grown and the business has grown to include a substantial team, I recognised that I needed to have a solid plan.

As we wrap up the year that was 2021, I take a look at some predictions for the podcasting space in 2022.

There has been a huge amount of growth in the podcasting space in 2022, and in fact more broadly since 2018/19. It's been a very interesting time to be developing in this space, and developing a business that is in such a growth heavy industry.

Are you struggling to keep up with the release frequency of your podcast?

When we forget our purpose and mission, it can be easy to stray off track and stop releasing episodes. After all, if you see the value in something, you’ll make sure it’s at the top of your priorities.

There is a huge difference between an "interview" and a "thought-provoking conversation". The latter of the two being the kind of podcast I remember and tell my friends about.

Storytelling is at the heart of what podcasting is all about, and yet we're often not asking questions that prompt a meaningful response.
